President Leavitt and I attended the Leadership Training meeting at 2:30 pm at the Benoni Stake Center. After a 25-minute opening, everyone split into departments. We went to the high council room with all the ward mission leaders or bishopric counselors and high council member over missionary work.
President Leavitt and I trained, and we counselled together on different subjects connected with the full-time missionaries working effectively with the wards/branches' mission leaders. We also introduced them to some of the initiatives we had and would be training the missionaries to help in finding and retaining converts. They were excited. They also suggested that President Leavitt help teach the members about missionary rules so members can be aware of what visiting missionaries can and cannot do.
At 5 pm, President Leavitt and I were speakers, along with others, in the Adult Benoni Stake Conference Session that ended at 7 pm.

We attended the Benoni Stake Conference main session at the Springs Civic Center from 10-12 pm. We were among the speakers. The conference theme was self-reliance. The talks in all the meetings were very good and instructive. President Leavitt kept his promise and went over the missionary rules and how members can help.
We ate lunch at President and Sister Holmes home with their family members and some missionaries connected with the area office.
We traveled to the Johannesburg chapel for President Leavitt to do a second interview. We returned home at 5:45 pm.
I took some pictures before the main session at the Civic Center. I think about 1,000 people attended. The main floor filled and people went upstairs. The Benoni Stake is getting closer to being split.
Some of those participating with prayers and talks, and on the far rows, the choir. Beautifully arranged music sung with beautiful voices.
This little cutie showed me after the meeting how she twirls!
Reminds me of some of my grandchildren!
