Elder Bartice flew home to Nicaragua on Monday, 27 August 2018, as his visa expires 31 August. Elder Bete is in a threesome with the zone leaders in his district.

We learned that Elder Nkosinathi Bonginkosi Mayisela, a member of the Ngwane Park Branch in Swaziland, was called to the Mozambique Maputo Mission, but temporarily assigned to the Johannesburg Mission until he receives his visa.

President Leavitt assigned Elder Mayisela to be with Elder Rodgers in Nhlangano, Swaziland. We welcome Elder Mayisela to our mission!

Elder Molteno, Elder Rodgers' second transfer trainer, is transferred to the Florida 2 area in the Soweto Zone in Johannesburg to be Elder Bete's companion.

2018 August 29 Mission Leadership Council

Attending: All zone leaders, assistants, President and Sister Leavitt and special guests and presenters, Elder and Sister Parrish. Elder and Sister Parrish have been serving in the area office as communication specialists for about seven months. They are introducing to our zone leaders a new advertising program we have approval to try in our mission. After explaining, the zone leaders gave them valuable feedback to help plan the program. President Leavitt and I also thought of additional suggestions after listening to everyone.

President Leavitt and I taught a segment on Leadership skills from the Church Handbook 2--Leading the Savior's Way, PMG, the Missionary White Handbook, and New Testament and Book of Mormon Scriptures. The Assistants showed August statistics, gathered zone goals for September, and taught from PMG Chapters 9 (160-162) and 13-- Teaching with Members, with input and interaction from the zone leaders.

Interview & Training pictures

We have our interview and training cycle from August 10 to the last interview day in Swaziland on September 7, with zone conferences and MLC sprinkled in there. After we are done, and as soon as I can, I will post them all.  I don't want to give away our ending training activity--so Elders--don't tell and spoil it for others!

2018 August 15 Zone Conference CN JO RP VL

Wednesday, 15 August 2018, in the Florida/Roodepoort Chapel, we held Zone Conference for the Centurion, Johannesburg, Roodepoort and Vaal Zones.

Elder & Sister Todd, our MLS couple in Ennerdale, Vaal Zone, came to help with checking all the cars and attending zone conference.

Before zone conference starts, we watch church videos. President Leavitt also gives last minute instruction to Elder Boshoff, who is conducting this morning. Elder Ott and Elder Zimba, our assistants, are teaching and going over statistics. Elder Gibbs is conducting the music and Elder Mbaki is the pianist.
