Formation of Springs Stake at Benoni Stake Conference 10-11 Feb 2018

President Leavitt and I attended the Benoni Stake Conference, adult session at 2-4 pm, and President Leavitt attended the following Priesthood Leadership Training at the Rynfield Chapel. President Hamilton, Southeast Africa Area President and a General Authority 70, and Elder Giddey, an Area 70 in the Southeast Africa Area, were assigned by the 1st Presidency and Quorum of 12 to interview eligible priesthood holders and seek inspiration as to who Heavenly Father would like to be the new stake president of the Springs Stake being formed the next day.

We attended the Benoni Stake Conference 10-12 pm session. During the conference session, the following changes were made by President Hamilton and Elder Giddey and sustained by the congregation.

Benoni Stake includes:
Kempton Park (formerly of the Centurion Stake)

Springs Stake includes:
Kwa-Thema
Selcourt
Embalenhle
Tskarne

Springs

After the meeting, President Leavitt and I met in a classroom with Elder Bol and Elder Zwane and their many investigators who attended the conference, and met with other missionaries, investigators and members.

At 1:40 pm we arrived at Sister Foxx and Sister Willis's flat along with our assistants, Elder Wolfgramm and Elder Powell, to eat lunch and discuss our upcoming training at zone conference and interviews.
