President & Sister Leavitt, President Wagner, and Elder and Sister Jensen met and had lunch with Lebogang and Lydia Maleka and youngest son at the Nelspruit Chapel. President Leavitt had met with Brother and Sister Maleka, and called Brother Maleka to be the district president of the new Mbombela District to be formed on 10 December 2017.

On Sunday morning before church, President Leavitt met with Rudolph Roeloffze, and called him to be the district clerk.
During the first Mbombela District Conference, Brother Maleka was sustained as president and Brother Roeloffze as clerk of the newly formed Mbombela District, consisting of the Nelspruit and KaNymazane branches. After church, they were set apart.
