14 May 2018 Departing Missionaries

Departing missionaries come to the mission home on Monday for interviews with President Leavitt, weigh luggage, make memory pages, visit, eat dinner, have a departing FHE and sleep at the mission home before departing for their home on Tuesday.

Elder Myeni

Elder Wold, Elder Myeni, Sister Wold
Elder Myeni is departing to serve in Sierra Leone straight from serving with us in Swaziland since December 2017, after completing his training at the Johannesburg MTC. He had joined us for zone conference while awaiting his mission call.

Elder Myeni originally was called to Cape Town, South Africa, but after many attempts (including camping out all night at the SA Embassy), could not obtain a visa. He was issued another call to Sierra Leone, Africa. He finally obtained a visa. Elder and Sister Wold put him on a plane early Monday morning.

We have appreciated his powerful testimony, wonderful attitude and excellent service with our Elders, 20 minutes from his home, as he has been patiently waiting to serve outside his country.

President Leavitt and I eagerly await his return to Swaziland (now renamed The Kingdom of Eswatini by King Mswati III, 19 April on his 50th birthday & 50 year anniversary of independence) in less than two years from now. Elder Myeni will be a great help to strengthen and serve in his branch and the church.
