Wednesday morning, we had breakfast with Elder & Sister Sitati, Elder Bogosavac & Elder Witts, APs, Mbombela District, who slept at the mission home last night, Elders Zimba, Nelson, Flood & Mercado, and Elder King (got his tonsils out Monday night).
Sister Sitati taught about missionaries needing to be honest. Don't testify of things you don't have a testimony of. Be honest with self, obtain the word, pray, practice, observe to do. She talked of Enos as an example. Elder Anderson came to South Africa and talked about honesty. He said dishonesty will destroy life. There are consequences--at some time--now or later.
President Leavitt taught about teaching chastity and tithing--we need to teach thoroughly for understanding and with boldness as blessings are abundant. Missionaries are servants of the Lord and need to live the missionary standards.
Sister Leavitt went over enjoy participating in and recording LightTheWorld activities they had been trained on. She told of the LightTheWorld activity at the Dobsonville Mall the Sitatis and Leavitts enjoyed participating in with the Soweto Zone Tuesday evening. She also briefly discussed an informational handout dealing with the new 2019 Church schedule changes. The missionaries will be helpful in answering questions with this handout. Also, as the Elders are so involved with taking people they are teaching or new converts to Gospel Principles class and many times teaching the class, it is important they know it is no longer being taught--and where to direct people after the 60-minute sacrament meeting.
