2019 Nov 13 Transfer
Wednesday, 13 November 2019
We had six elders leaving and no one coming until a taxi driver at the airport was trying to take Elder Ncwocha, who flew in from California, somewhere and looked up the church name on his tag and miraculously called the mission office at 6 pm and Sister Truman was still there working and answered. The office elders went and picked him up last night.
Elder Green and Elder Smith picked up Elders Kisembo, Manzini and Matayaunga at 5:45 am and drove them to the OR Tambo airport to fly home.
Elders Flood, Forward, Mpapa, and Ncwocha (who arrived yesterday at the airport without our being notified) ate breakfast with us. They all had interviews until 2 pm with President Leavitt. The APs came and took Elder Mpapa to meet his family at the temple at 12:30 pm. He is going home with them. Elders Green and Smith picked up Elders Flood and Forward at 2:15 pm to the airport after we all had lunch. Elder Ncwocha went to the office for orientation and stayed with the APs until he joined his new companionship.
The Centurion/Midrand and Rabie Ridge elders came to the mission home for interviews and training.
Two other sets of companionships came in for special interviews with President Leavitt.
The APs came to the mission home. They went with me to KFC to pick up the chicken twisters I ordered for tomorrow's interviews at 9:15 (as I don't like to go alone after dark). We worked on the transfer (because of Elder Ncwocha's surprise arrival) until 10:45 pm.
