28 November 2017 Transfer Day, and Saviour Bvute
We picked up the new missionaries from the MTC at 6:55 am, and walked them with their luggage over to our mission office and CES classroom next door for breakfast and orientation. Those who have driver's licenses also had driving tests during the day with Elder Wagner.
It was a busy morning for all as we so miss Elder and Sister Hunt, who unexpectedly returned to Oklahoma last Thursday. Sister Foxx, Sister Willis and Sister Lutta (from Kenya, will enter the MTC on Thursday, then serve in Zimbabwe) helped with breakfast and lunch in the CES classroom with Sister and Elder Wagner's help. The APs, Elder and Sister Wagner and I covered the training. I also tried to get some pictures. This was Elder Wikaira's last day as an AP before returning home to New Zealand. We thank all for their wonderful service. We welcomed Elder Cox as our new AP to serve along with Elder Wolfgramm. Everyone departs to their areas after each is finished with training and driving tests.

President & Sister Leavitt, Saviour Bvute, Raapile Rakuoane, Ennerdale 1st Counselor, and Pres. Matsoso
President Leavitt set Saviour apart today as a missionary to serve in Zimbabwe. Saviour enters the Joburg MTC on Thursday. Raapile is also going to serve in Zimbabwe. He enters the Joburg MTC on February 20, 2018. We have enjoyed working with these young men from the Ennerdale Branch as they worked on preparing and submitting their paperwork. |
