16-17 June 2018 Klerksdorp & Jouberton church

16 June 2018, Saturday, President Leavitt and I drove to Klerksdorp to help a pre-missionary sister finish submitting the rest of her papers with President Robbins in his office. While we were at the Klerksdorp church building, the Relief Society sisters were there making Father's Day gifts and blankets.

Then we drove to Jouberton for President Leavitt to interview some men. I went into the Relief Society room and found the sisters, under Sister Nellie and Sister Fugal's direction, having a fun activity of getting to know each other better. There was a lot of joy and laughter and camaraderie. I came in towards the end and helped dish up cake for all. There were just enough pieces left for the men in the building to enjoy. They were hopeful the heat in the building would be fixed as planned on Tuesday.

17 June 2018
President Leavitt and I attended church on Sunday. President Leavitt spoke in Sacrament meeting (I didn't as there wasn't time left). After conducting some branch business and setting apart a new Elder's Quorum president after church, President Leavitt held a training meeting on ministering. It was helpful direction for all involved. He included a role play situation at the end depicting how the Young Men and the Elder's Quorum presidents would meet together to coordinate ministering assignments. Because of limited time, he didn't have the Young Women and Relief Society presidents role play the same thing. We returned home after. We ate delicious sack lunches Sister Fugal provided for us on our two-hour drive home.

That evening, we attended the final activity for departing missionaries at the MTC which President and Sister Bester invited us to attend. It was a spiritually uplifting evening.
