2018 July 30 Elder Nau Appendectomy

Elder Nau came from the Joburg MTC into our mission on 26 June 2018. Since then, as he was walking along, stepped on a buried security fence spike which went through his shoe and sock into his foot (his foot recovered with no infection or scar); got hit by a car while riding his bike down a hill, sustaining a scrap on his elbow and hand and a bruised thigh; and a few days later spent a few days in the hospital on pain killers and antibiotics, ending with having his appendix removed on Monday, 30 July 2018. He was released on Tuesday and is recovering at the mission home.

Sister Leavitt is happy to note that Elder Nau is the oldest of eight children--the youngest being the only girl, and has taken all these traumatic events in stride with patience and a pleasant attitude. Let's pray that after he recovers, he can sail smoothly through his mission without getting hurt again.

Elder Galbraith, ZL, brings Elder Nau to Life Flora Hospital on Friday evening as President & Sister Leavitt are in Swaziland.
