2018 October 9 Transfer Day

We got up at 5:15 am to see Elder Chikoore picked up by the MTC to go to the airport with their departing missionaries using our H1 van. (They had many missionaries departing yesterday and today so they needed our vehicle but could transport Elder Chikoore.) The rest of our departing missionaries fly home tonight, and we all left the mission home at 6:40 am to pick up the seven new missionaries at the MTC at 7 am. We took them across the parking lot to our mission office. There they had a cinnamon roll, banana and yogurt breakfast and orientation, lunch and the match meeting to see who their trainer is. Then we take pictures and all depart to their areas.

The mission bought 640 5-liter plastic containers to put 8 in each flat for water storage. They were delivered at 8 am. We were able to distribute them to half our flats today.

(The Swaziland missionaries are leaving early to travel to Swaziland--four hours to the border, 2 border stops, about 1/2 hour to Mbabane flat, then Zone Leaders travel to Ezulwini to their flat.)

Several new missionaries have chosen to go by a different name while they serve their mission here to avoid confusion with other missionaries.
