16 April 2017, Easter Sunday, Trip to Sharpeville and Protea
Glen Branches
President Leavitt and I traveled by GPS to the Sharpeville
Branch, arriving 8:30 am and spoke in their 9 am Sacrament Meeting. Then while
I went to Sunday School and the first part of Relief Society, and showed the
#Prince of Peace video clip on my laptop to both classes before their lessons
(very few have internet connection), President Leavitt did temple recommends.
Some special ones were for a married couple going to the temple for the first
time for their ordinance work and to be sealed as an eternal family on 29 April
2017. I met them before church and took their picture.

President Leavitt and I left Sharpeville at 11:45 am and
drove to Protea Glen Branch to speak at a devotional. The Protea Glen Branch
had church from 9 am-12 pm, had a baptism that started at 12:15 pm and ended at
1:15 pm. Then there was a small break and the Easter Devotional (Fireside
during the day) started at 1:30 pm. After the opening song, which Elder Benson (one of our missionaries) accompanied the members singing with his violin, and an opening prayer, we all
watched the #Prince of Peace video. I spoke and then President Leavitt spoke.
After the closing song and prayer, we all went outside for a picture. Then
people gathered into the cultural hall to visit while lunch was prepared to be served.
The salad, curry veggies and butter chicken and rice were very delicious. We
had a wonderful time meeting many branch members. It was a Spirit-filled Easter Sunday!
