25 April 2017 Daveyton Skills School Service Project
Daveyton 1st Ward Bishop Nikabindein, his son
Siyabonga, ward members Brother and Sister Lukhele, Brother Siyanda, and
Daveyton Branch member Brother Mabasa, all participated along with the
following South African Johannesburg missionaries:
Elder Dorn, Elder Kuyangepi, Elder Cox, Elder Engrom, Elder Stevenson,
Elder Adams, Elder Adamson, Elder Ebite, Elder Ott, Elder Valikoula, Elder Bakes,
Elder Higgs, Elder Treasure, Elder Marsden, Elder Martinho, Elder Chirwa and Elder
Weidmann.
We were
invited to help the Skills School in Daveyton with some improvement projects on
Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 10 am to 1 pm.
We first moved
bricks that were once a wall to another site at the school so another wall can
be built.
We also
moved all the rubble to a dirt field.
Then, so the
students at the school can play soccer, we cut down the tall grass and pulled
all the big weeds to clear a playing field.
After we
finished working, the volunteers were provided lunch in the school cafeteria.
