March 25, 2017, Saturday, Visiting the Vaal Zone
President and Sister Leavitt were driven by APs Elder
Zitumane and Elder Campbell to the Nelspruit Mission District in the far
northeast part of the Johannesburg mission. We arrived at 5 pm and ate dinner
at Elder and Sister Black’s flat with Sister Black’s sister and brother-in-law.
President Leavitt did interviews at the Nelspruit Branch at 6 pm. We slept at a
hotel as the Blacks had company.
March 26, 2017, Sunday
Elder Zitumane went to church in the KaNyamazane Branch with
Elder Dionisu and Elder Murwira and Elder Campbell went to the Nelspruit Branch
with Elder Powell and Elder Davey. President Leavitt and I went to the Nespruit
Branch. We spoke after two other speakers and a wonderful men’s choir musical number.
After the block, President Leavitt had many interviews with church members,
called, sustained and set apart an Elder to complete an Elder’s Quorum
Presidency, and interviewed Elder Dionisu, Elder Murwira, Elder Powell and
Elder Davey, who are serving in this area. We rotated eating lunch at Elder and
Sister Black’s flat. We finished around 5 pm. Elder Zitumane drove us to
Johannesburg, arriving to the mission home about 9 pm.
