President Leavitt met individually with each Elder for 30 minutes in a
classroom nearby, The APs, Elder Zitumane and Elder Campbell, and Sister
Leavitt introduced the new LDS Easter Initiative entitled “Prince of Peace.” On
March 31, 2017, a 2:24 minute video entitled ‘Prince of Peace’ will be
available. There are eight principles of peace Christ exemplified in his life
that are being emphasized for this Easter Week—faith, gratitude, hope,
forgiveness, compassion, patience, prayer, and God’s word. There are eight
additional short video portraits of people employing the eight principles. One
video will be highlighted for each day of the traditional Christian “Holy Week”
from April 9 (Palm Sunday) to April 16 (Easter Sunday). Sister Leavitt also
gave each missionary a 5x7 picture of Christ Smiling, entitled ‘My Savior, My
Friend’ that her and President’s son, Dixon, painted.
