9 July 2017 Sebokeng Branch Conference & Baptism

9 July 2017 Sebokeng Branch Conference & Baptism

On Sunday morning, President Leavitt drove about 45 minutes to Sebokeng for their branch conference. President Leavitt was the final speaker. After all the meetings, a baptism meeting was held in the chapel at 12:30 pm for Florence Manini Paulus and her 16 year old daughter, Monea Tlonolofatso Edwiner Molahloe. They had requested that President Leavitt baptism them. He had spoken at the Sebokeng District Conference previously. Elder Spencer and Elder Hlophe had taught them the discussions and prepared them for baptism. There were so many branch members who stayed and supported them. Elder and Sister Robison, attend this branch. Sister Robison teaches in Primary and Elder Robison teaches the Young Men.

Waiting for the baptism meeting to start, Sister Robison was showing the children and adults what she taught in her Primary lesson about being kind to others. The smallest children do not speak English but can understand some of it. So she teaches with many pictures and hand signs. She had a 'kind' stone that they were to put in their shoe so when they walked they would feel it and remember to be kind to others. Sister Robison took off her boot and took out her stone to show the kids that she had one also to remind her to be kind. Sister Paulus' grandson was in her class and had a 'kind' sign on a heart around his neck and also had a stone to put in his shoe.

This picture was taken after the baptismal service was concluded. The branch members sang Happy Birthday to Monea as she came out of the chapel and gave her a bag of gifts. She was so happy to be baptized on her 16th birthday!
