14 Feb 2018 Elder Soares Meets with SAJM/MTC Missionaries
1:30-3:30 pm, Roodepoort Chapel, MTC complex
All our SAJM missionaries within about an hour or so drive from the chapel and all the MTC missionaries gathered at 1:15 pm in the chapel. Elder Ulisses Soares (of the presidency of the 70) and Sister Soares, and President Kevin S. (President of the Southeast Africa Area) and Sister Hamilton arrived and shook hands of all in attendance before being seated on the stand. Elder Smith played the organ and Elder Wolfgramm conducted the meeting. President and Sister Hamilton and Elder and Sister Soares spoke and gave us good counsel.
After the meeting when many had left, Elder Curriden was given a special Valentines Day card which he guessed had come from an acquaintance back home whom he wanted to try to teach and baptize after his mission. Turns out Elder Gibbs was behind the card. By luck, he and others made up an address that happened to be the street and town where this friend lived.
We all enjoyed the Valentine!
