2019 January 21 Departing Elders, Welcome Elder Manzini

On Monday, 21 January 2019, Elder Pop and Elder Zimba arrived at the mission home with many companions who ate and departed.

Elder Manzini was dropped off by his brother-in-law from Pretoria. Elder Manzini joins us again after recovering seven months from a broken leg and torn tendons and ligaments. He had to walk 10 kilometers over two days' time to finish qualifying to return to missionary work. He did that while staying in Pretoria with his sister the past week so he could join us as soon as he received clearance. Welcome back, Elder Manzini!!

Elders Pop and Zimba had their departing interview, made their memory pages and visited with Elder Manzini. We had dinner and our departing program and went to bed.

Our office elders, Elder Spencer, Elder Eriksen and newly called Elder Rash, picked Elder Pop and Zimba up at 5:20 am on Tuesday morning, 22 January 2019, to take them to the airport for their flights home.

The assistants, Elder Bogosavac, Elder Witts, and newly called, Elder Simmons, went to the mission office to help set up for the transfer. President and Sister Leavitt left at 6:30 am from the mission home to unload things for the meals and to pick up our eight new missionaries at the MTC at 7 am.
